Workshop: 'The Postcoloniality of Europe's Borders‘

The workshop aims to query Europe's geographical imaginary from its (de)colonial borderlands. It will shed light on post-colonial and imperial governance with regards to current European border regimes. We will discuss aspects of decoloniality and 'border thinking' by understanding the European enlargement as 'colonial governmentality'.

A preparatory reading of 2-3 texts is mandatory to take part in the seminar with Dr. Kramsch. The seminar will be held in English. Room tba.

The seminar complements the lecture given by Dr. Kramsch in the Humangeographisches Kolloquium on Thursday, 14th (16-18).
